After December 7, 1941, Pearl Harbor changed from being a place of reference to an event that influenced the enitre
world. This surprise attack altared from being neutral to being fully involved in the ongoing war against the Axis nations.
This war changed the face of naval battle all by itself. Aircraft Carriers replaced Battleships as the most dominant force
in the sea. This surprise attack changed the future of the entire world because of its pull on U.S. involvement.
